Dallas gallery owner to give special lecture Thursday at The Grace

Abilene, TX (November 12, 2007) - The owner of a prestigious Dallas-area art gallery will travel to Abilene Thursday to present a special lecture in conjunction with The Grace Museum's current Library of Congress exhibit.

David Dike, owner of David Dike Fine Art in Dallas, is the final lecturer in The Grace's three-part Art Talk and Coffee series.

Dike's talk, titled "The Effect of the Great Depression on Texas Art," will shed light on the impact of the Depression on the artists and art of Texas, and the development of American Regionalism.

There is no charge for the lecture, which begins at 6:30 p.m., and the public is invited to attend.

The lecture begins at 6:30 p.m.

The Grace Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday; and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. every Thursday. Admission is free Thursday evening after 5 p.m.
