Grace
continues 4th Friday history talks February 22
Abilene,
TX (February 8, 2008) - The Grace Museum continues
a new series of history talks, designed to explore topics
of Texas history, February 22.
The second "4th
Friday" lecture begins at 10:30 a.m., and will feature
retired Abilene attorney Bill Neal.
Neal spent more
than four decades - 20 years as a prosecutor and 20 years
as a defense attorney - frequenting county courthouses in
West Texas and hearing tales of sensational crimes and celebrated
trials of bygone years. Most of the stories gathered in his
book, "Getting Away With Murder on the Texas Frontier,"
have never before been published, and each is supported by
a wealth of primary research.
Fourth Friday lectures
are held in The Grace's 3rd floor Education Center, and are
free for museum members; $3 for non-members.
The Grace Museum
is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday; and
from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. every Thursday. Admission is free Thursday
evening after 5 p.m.
