H-E-B teacher appreciation award winners announced

Abilene, TX (May 15, 2008) - In cooperation with the H.E. Butt Grocery Company, an educator's group from The Grace Museum, Frontier Texas!, the National Center for Children's Illustrated Literature, the Center for Contemporary Arts, the Abilene Philharmonic, and the Old Jail Art Center in Albany, recently announced the winners of a teacher appreciation drawing.

The group received gift certificates from H-E-B, which made the donations to be used in a teacher appreciation drawing for teachers from Region 14. From April 15 to May 10, teachers could register for the drawing at any of the venues. The drawing was held May 13, and the winners are:

Kristal Stevens - Rising Star Elementary School

Isabel Pennington - Siebert Elementary School (Eastland ISD)

Jennifer LaBrie - Bowie Elementary School (AISD)

Aaron Tomlinson - Hamlin High School

Lisa Stephens - Kelley Elementary School (Colorado ISD)

The mission-style building was renovated and re-opened in 1992 as The Grace Cultural Center.
