Youngsters race to The Grace for June Tot Spot

Abilene, TX (May 31, 2006)  Little ones will have the opportunity to make fun crafts while seeing and learning about vintage race cars as The Grace Museum plays host to tots from around the Big Country Thursday and Friday.

The program is part of the Museum's monthly Tot Spot, where children ages 3 to 5 and their parents or guardians come to The Grace to explore fun and exciting topics with hands-on activities and stories.

In June, the theme revolves around The Grace's upcoming Main Gallery exhibit “On The Road Again: Vintage Race Cars Then and Now.” The tots will do themed craft activities, visit the exhibit, and then have play time in The Grace's Children's Museum.

Tot Spot starts at 10 a.m. Thursday, and also runs at 9:30 and 11 a.m. Friday.

Reservations are required for the monthly program which is the first Thursday and Friday of each month. Cost is $3 for The Grace Museum members; $5 for non-members. Call 673-4587 or visit The Grace web site at www.thegracemuseum.org to register or get more information.

The Grace Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday; and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. every Thursday. Admission is free Thursday evening after 5 p.m.
