Grace announces addition of new Special Events Coordinator

Abilene, TX (August 29, 2007) - The Grace Museum is pleased to announce the addition of Kandi Austin to their staff as Special Events Coordinator.

Raised in Abilene, and a graduate of Eula High School and Hardin Simmons University , Austin assumes management of the Museum's active events program from former Rental Coordinator Nancy Ruzinsky.

In her new position, Austin will market the Grace as a unique venue, negotiate contracts and schedules rentals for weddings and events; coordinate with renters and outside vendors to facilitate quality results; plan and execute high-profile Museum events such as exhibit openings, Board events, and parties, including overseeing food and beverage, décor, and staffing; and help plan and manage the Fall Benefit, a dinner for 500+ and Abilene's premier fundraising gala.

The Grace Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday; and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. every Thursday. Admission is free Thursday evening after 5 p.m. For more information, call 325-673-4587.
