Grace welcomes new staff member

Abilene, TX (April 8, 2008) - The Grace Museum is pleased to announce the addition of Jana Bailey to their staff. Bailey will assume the position of Museum Educator effective April 16.

Bailey, who has held two other positions with The Grace - Tot Spot teacher, and Grace Academy teacher - was selected after an extensive search process.

"We had several great applicants, and are pleased that Jana agreed to accept the position," said Pam Harman, Director of Education for The Grace.

Bailey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Abilene Christian University, and brings a wealth of education experience to her new position, including more than 13 years of teaching at the elementary, middle and high school levels.

In her position as Museum Educator, Bailey will be responsible for the coordination and implementation of many of The Grace's education programs, including ArtWalk Make and Take It, Grace Academy, Holiday Camp, Saturday youth workshops, Youth Art Month, DreamNight at The Grace, the AISD Title I programs, and The Grace's Summer Art Outreach program.

"Jana will be a great addition to the staff," said Grace Executive Director Dennis Kois. "Her experience in education, coupled with her years of service to the Museum, make her the right choice, and we're thrilled to welcome her to the staff."

The Grace Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday; and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. every Thursday. Admission is free Thursday evening after 5 p.m.
