December 'Wee Wednesday' at The Grace to spotlight toddler holiday awareness
Abilene, TX (December 3, 2008) – The Grace Museum’s next Wee Wednesday program December 10 will spotlight toddler holiday awareness, and feature a special guest speaker.
Susan O’Brien, Head Start Consultant for Region XIV, will present at The Grace’s monthly program for toddlers age 12- to 24-months. The program kicks off at 9:30 a.m. December 10.
Wee Wednesday is a Grace program that includes a fun time of songs, games, sign language videos (to teach toddlers sign language before they can speak) and more. It’s also an opportunity for parents to socialize with each other, speak with experts on children’s health, development and education during periodic drop-in visits, and enjoy plenty of mommy (or daddy)-and-me time in the Children’s Museum.
“Wee Wednesday is held before The Grace opens to the public to allow for a safe and clean environment for our youngest visitors,” said Preston Gardner, Grace Children’s Museum Manager.
The programs begin at 9:30 a.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month. There will only be one program in December due to the holidays. January dates are the 14th and 28th.
Admission is free for Museum members, $5 for non-members.
The Grace Museum
is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday; and
from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. every Thursday. Admission is free Thursday
evening after 5 p.m.
