DIALOGUE: Kacy Latham

  • The Grace Museum 102 Cypress Street Abilene, TX, 79601 United States (map)

DIALOGUE is a collaboration with the Center for Contemporary Arts (CCA).  Artist Members from the CCA are invited to pair the work they create with art currently on view at The Grace and speak about the connections between the two.  The next artist to present will be Kacy Latham.

Kacy Latham is a contemporary abstract painter, graphic designer and sculptor who lives in her small hometown of Munday Texas. Kacy received her BFA in Theatre from Midwestern State University where she discovered her knack for design and painting in her scene design classes.

Primarily, she works in large scale acrylic and oil abstract paintings with an emphasis on color and movement.  Since embarking on her career as full-time visual artist in 2015, Kacy has had several solo shows, participated in numerous group exhibitions, juried shows and has gained a growing league of faithful collectors.   Comparing her work to the auditory art of jazz and classical music Latham aspires to explore tempo, tone, rhythm and melody visually.

Kacy is a wife and mother who recently curated the Storybook Attic Exhibit upstairs at the Center for Contemporary Art. She is also a featured artist at Frisco Fine Art in Frisco, Texas.

“Exploration and experimentation drive everything I do. I truly believe that curiosity is the best teacher.”
